You know what I always say: they have more fun in Chester! And one of the best shindigs of the year is the Chester Carnivale, especially since it arrives just when we New Englanders are desperate for some fun. Ice Carvings, Chili Cookoff, a tractor parade (!), shop and gallery openings, sales and events. Stop by Restaurant L&E for gumbo, fried oysters and New Orleans inspired cocktails. Wise to park at the commuter lot and avail yourself of the free shuttle.
